Aids in the expulsion of harmful ammonia from the body; recent
studies indicate that it may increase resistance to fatigue
and provide increased endurance.
Astragalus Offers
many of the same benefits as Ginseng, but possesses a very
unique and valuable distinction in that this herb profoundly
strengthens and boosts the immune system. There has been research
that has demonstrated Astragalus’s effect on increasing
white blood cells, the cells that are responsible for regulating
our immune system. Astragalus may also help to lower blood
pressure.
Biotin Promotes healthy
skin, hair and nails; supports the nervous system, GI tract,
and cardiovascular system.
Bitter Orange One
rule in herbal practice is that whenever we strengthen our
life force, we must also encourage it to circulate smoothly
throughout the body. Bitter Orange compliments each formula
by encouraging our life force and energy to flow freely and
unobstructed. It’s cooling nature also helps balance
the warming energy of the tonic herbs in the formula. Bitter
Orange also releases stagnation in the digestive tract, eliminating
fullness, distention and bloating. Ultimately, by activating
energy flow, Bitter Orange will potentiate the effect of the
strengthening herbs in the formula, resulting in more focused
and balanced energy.

Chondroitin Sulfate
Chondroitin sulfate is a large protein molecule (proteoglycans)
derived from animal tissue that aids in the lubrication and
cushioning of joints, providing structure and elasticity.
Proteoglycans provide strength and flexibility to connective
tissue. Chondroitin sulfate works to build a tissue matrix
that attracts and holds fluid to absorb physical impact stresses.
When these pockets of fluid absorb stress, they protect the
rest of the joint tissue from being damaged by the wear and
tear of daily activity. In addition, because the body gradually
exchanges this fluid, fresh nutrients are constantly brought
in to nourish the joint tissues. The function of Chondroitin
is to attract and hold these fluids. Chondroitin also helps
block the activity of degraditive enzymes that destroy cartilage,
thereby improving the ability of nutrients circulating in
the blood to reach cartilage tissue. Experience has shown
that when oral Chondroitin supplements are consumed, the body
can use a significant percentage of it to rebuild damaged,
inflamed and painful joints such as those found in osteoarthritis.
Chromium (as chromium
picolinate) A trace mineral that is an essential part of the
GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor). Insulin works with the GTF
molecule to regulate blood sugar levels by transporting glucose
into the body's cells. The liver also needs chromium to manufacture
and control fatty acids, lecithin, cholesterol and lipoproteins.
Chromium is removed from foods such as wheat and sugar cane
by processing, and often consumed as part of a dietary supplement
regimen.

nutrients in many enzymatic functions; helps in collagen production.
Cystine Antioxidant;
radical scavenging; neutralizes toxins; aids in protein synthesis;
may assist in slowing of aging process.
Daidzein is
the second most plentiful isoflavone in soy (after genistein).
Soy isoflavones, and other naturally occuring biologically
active components found in soy are currently under study for
their potential role in helping reduce the risk of cardiovascular
disease, some cancers, and osteoporosis and in reducing some
menopausal symptoms.
Dong Quai Has a tremendous
capacity to nourish the blood. It also has been shown to have
analgesic and sedative effects. Dong Quai brings balance through
its ability to nourish and regulate blood, and enhance the
effectiveness of the other herbs, by bringing them into deeper
into the bloodstream.
Echinacea Has been
rediscovered as a great medicinal for bacterial and viral
infections. Perhaps Echinacea may be one of the strongest
natural anti-biotic’s known to man. Echinacea differs
from that of tonics because it’s potency is more similar
to that of an anti-biotic such as Penicillin. Its effects
are strong and like anti-biotics, Echinacea should not be
used for longer than necessary.
Eleuthero or
Siberian Ginseng By increasing oxygen
to virtual all cells and organs in the body, this herb allows
the body to thrive in the harshest of environments. This herb

Essential Fatty Acid (EFA): Omega-3
EPA, Omega-6 GLA Essential Fatty Acids mean these
fatty acids are essential to the body. Unfortunately the body
does not reproduce these and must be supplemented through
the diet. Benefits of Omega-3 oils include lower LDL cholesterol
and triglyceride levels in the blood, improved circulation
with decreased platelet stickiness, reduced blood pressure
and improved immune system function. A deficiency in essential
fatty acids can lead to severe bone loss and osteoporosis.
Studies have shown that EFA supplements help maintain or increase
bone mass. Essential fatty acids may also enhance calcium
absorption, increase calcium deposits in bones, diminish calcium
loss in urine, improve bone mass and strength, and enhance
bone growth.
Garcinia is derived
from a plant primarily grown in India that is nutritionally
beneficial in blocking the production of fats. Scientific
research conducted on this herb since 1969 demonstrates that
it slows the body's conversion of carbohydrates and excess
calories to fat, decreasing production of harmful fats (low-density
lipoproteins), promoting sustained energy levels by enhancing
the body's production of glycogen, reducing the body's desire
for excess food; helping to nutritionally support the metabolism
and burn calories. Human studies indicate that Garcinia may
be especially effective when combined with chromium.
Genistein

naturally in fruits and plants.
Glucosamine Sulfate/ Glucosamine
Hydrochloride (HCl) Glucosamine sulfate is a naturally-occurring
amino sugar derived from shellfish. These amino sugars are
key constituents of larger compounds known as glycosaminoglycans
and glycoproteins, which enable the body’s cells to
bind together - building new tissue in joints, cartilage,
tendons, ligaments and other areas contributing to the strength,
structure, flexibility, and integrity of joints and cartilage.
By generating the production of collagen, joints are provided
the cushioning they require to absorb the shock, allowing
an active, pain-free lifestyle. Some have the opinion that
Glucosamine, because it is a "sugar," can raise
blood sugar levels, and is suggested with diabetics to increase
monitoring of blood sugar levels.
